ResponsibilitiesConnect and engage parents/caregivers in the child's healthy developmentPerform direct outreach and provide basic health information on child development to target population as listed on program grant and/or as directed by supervisorConduct comprehensive outreach (and/or in-reach) in North County and refers individuals to program grant activities and/or clinicProvide basic information and education on health topicsComplete appropriate paperworkConduct basic assessments/screenings of target populationParticipate in health fairs and other community eventsSchedule clinic appointmentsDevelop and/or design program flyersQualificationsMinimumHigh school graduate or equivalentMinimum two years' experience in community education, child development, health education and/or community engagement Bilingual English/SpanishValid California driver's license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation with minimum two years' driving experienceAbility and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekendsRequired Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally with target population and all levels personnel staff in an appropriate mannerAbility to work independently, take initiative, and be proactiveAbility to track and manage time effectively Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel), business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilitiesPay Range$20.
