We are a growing family-owned business with seven divisions, which provides us the advantage of being a single source supplier to many industrial manufacturing markets.
The regulatory assistant will provide assistance in completing all duties and responsibilities of the Regulatory function in Shepard Bros.
Essential duties and responsibilities for this position will include:
Regulatory Compliance - Maintain compliance with regulations of government agency programs.

OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA.
Participate in audits and plant tours ensuring facility EH&S compliance Respond to sales and customer requests for product documentation, vendor qualification surveys, and other forms and documents requested.
HAZMAT - Prepare annual CUPA Fire SARA 312 Reporting in CERS, SARA 313 (TRI reporting), CA DTSC reports and Hazardous Waste Management.
NPDES - Prepare annual SWPPP and monthly wastewater discharge reports.
OCSD - Meet all Quarterly Self-Monitoring report deadlines and ensure that wastewater discharges are NPDES permit compliant.
Certifications - Acquire or develop all required Kosher, NOP, USDA, NSF and NAFTA documentation for our products.
Facility/Food Security - Develop programs and maintain compliance with the requirements of HM-232, Food Safety, HACCP and DHS Chemical Terrorism Security programs.
Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biology or an environmental science field, or 3
years in industry with responsibility for EH&S and Regulatory Compliance issues is preferred.
English fluency, Spanish fluency desired.
Possess good organization skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines with minimal supervision.
Basic math skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Graphic design experience (especially Adobe Illustrator) is a major plus.
