00 per hour) Basic Function; Lead after-school programming as a Social Recreation Coordinator.
Plan/Create and implement an inviting calendar of drop-in activities, special events and other programs in the Games Room, engage with youth & ensure safety.
Qualifications; High school graduate or equivalent.
Prior youth work or volunteer experience preferred.
Individual must be able to work with large groups of youth.
Job Functions; Create and maintain various programs for members to remain involved in.
Lead club-wide social recreation programs.
Encourage a positive environment for members to learn, interact, and grow.
Conduct small and large group active enrichment activities.
Maintain equipment and cleanliness of area; maintain organization.
Maintain and update bulletin boards, keep current with info on upcoming events.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
Assume other duties as assigned.
Assist nightly with cleaning and closing of facility.
Report to Program Director.
Requirements; Demonstrates a high degree of initiative, self-direction and creativity.
Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.
Exhibits professionalism.
Maintains excellent working relationship with staff, volunteers and public.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to work with people from diverse racial/cultural/socioeconomic backgrounds.
